In Memory of Majel Barrett Roddenberry

Majel Barrett Roddenberry, known to us as "Number One" and "Nurse Christine Chapel" in the Star Trek Original Series, as Lwaxana Troi in TNG and DS9, as well as our favorite Federation computer voice in TNG, DS9, Voyager and the spin off movies, passed away this morning, December 18, 2008, at 12:27 AM in her Bel Air home.

According to Roddenberry dot Com, "She died peacefully, in her sleep, and was surrounded by family and loved ones."

I'll never forget how she says "Daughter of the Fifth House, Holder of the Sacred Chalice of Rixx, Heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed".

Better browse my TNG and DS9 series this vacation season.

Exhibit at Lunduyan Gallery

The exhibit last night was OK. Works from Vic Davao and Eghai Roxas were cool, as well as from other artists who posted their pieces.

On our sound art exhibition, we weren't able to go full-blast due to substandard equipment (no offense to the owner). Good thing i brought some of mine to make good with what we have. Even my devastated microphone was well-maximized.

One good thing (and always the good thing with art exhibits) was the endless bottles of beer. After being dissatisfied with my performance, a few bottles just made me glad.

Paris 1968 in Athens?

Greece has been a hotbed of left-wing dissent for a long time. Now it's another season of revolt and unrest.

On Saturday 6th of December at around 10pm, two Greek policemen were in patrol in a central street by Exarchia square, in the center of Athens. They had a verbal argument with some young people who were there. During the argument, one of the cops pulled his gun and shot a 15-year-old guy twice. The victim was moved to Evangelismos Hospital to be found dead.

In a spontaneous response, thousands of people protested and Athens witnessed a wave of protest marches, riots, property destruction, occupations and the like. Paris 1968 all over again? We'll see.

Legion is composed of Hendrik and Ginger on guitars, A.C. on bass, Dexter on drums, and yours truly on the vocal work and additional textures and samples. Thanks to A.C. for posting these on Youtube. These were recorded on the Maximum Metal 3 gig.
